Spring and summer events
Field to Table (Aug.)
Experience the best of local food at Georgina’s award-winning Field to Table event. Held annually on the third Saturday of August, this Town-led event—organized in partnership with local farmers—celebrates Georgina’s rich agricultural roots. Enjoy farm-fresh samples, cooking demonstrations, family-friendly activities, and the chance to connect directly with the growers and producers who make it all possible. It’s a delicious way to experience the flavours and community spirit of Georgina.
Georgina Farmers' Market (May-Oct.)
Shop local and support your community at the Georgina Farmers’ Market, held every Sunday from May to October, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Link in Sutton (20849 Dalton Rd.). Featuring 40+ vendors, the market offers fresh produce, meats, baked goods, crafts, and more—all from local growers and makers.
Enjoy live music, delicious food, and family fun, including a bouncy castle, face painting, and a food court area. This volunteer-run, town-supported market is a great way to connect with the people behind the products while enjoying a lively weekend atmosphere.
Georgina Spring Fling and Fall Marathon (May and Sept.)
Experience a scenic, fast, and flat race along the shores of Lake Simcoe, with shaded stretches and beautiful lakefront views. Choose from a certified Boston Qualifier marathon, half marathon, 10K, or 5K—perfect for personal bests or simply enjoying the route.

Purple Turtle Art Festival (July)
Discover unique and inspiring works at the Purple Turtle Arts Festival, held over a weekend in July at The Meadow at the Briars Resort and Spa. Featuring more than 35 talented artisans from across Ontario, including local artists, this outdoor event showcases a wide range of mediums such as paintings, photography, pottery, sculpture, and woodcraft. Sutton Fair and Horse Show (Aug.)
The Sutton Fair and Horse Show is a four-day celebration of rural fun and community spirit, featuring live music, truck and tractor pulls, demolition derbies, horse and livestock shows, kids’ games, a full midway, and a beer tent. Chippewas of Georgina Island Pow Wow (Sept.)
Experience a traditional Pow wow and a day at the shores of Lake Simcoe in late September. Discover drumming, dancing, hoop dance demonstrations and First Nations-owned and operated food and craft vendors.

SnoFest (Feb.)
Celebrate winter fun at SnoFest, Georgina’s annual cold-weather tradition hosted by the Town of Georgina. Held every February, SnoFest brings the community together for a day of family-friendly outdoor activities, including tubing, snowshoeing, ice carving, games, and more. With live entertainment, food vendors, and winter-themed fun for all ages, it’s a great way to embrace the season and make lasting memories in the heart of Georgina.
Studio Tour (Sept.)
For over 25 years, the Georgina Studio Tour has brought together a dynamic group of local artists to showcase their work during a special two-day, self-guided event. Visitors are invited to explore private homes and studios—typically open by appointment only—and discover a wide range of artistic talent across various locations in Georgina. This town-supported event takes place over the last weekend in September.
Taste of Georgina (Feb./March)
Savour the flavours of winter at Taste of Georgina, a delicious two-week culinary event held in February and March. Organized by the Town of Georgina, this event highlights local restaurants offering prix fixe menus that showcase the best of their seasonal creations. It's the perfect opportunity to support local dining, try something new and experience the diverse tastes that make Georgina’s food scene so special.
