With the crisp air off Lake Simcoe, the sparkle of fresh snow and a welcoming atmosphere, our community is the perfect place to lace up your skates and enjoy a true Canadian winter tradition. The Town operates one free outdoor skating rink and has two indoor facilities, and resorts also offer access to skating experiences. 

Indoor Skating 

  • Georgina Ice Palace (Keswick) Located at 90 Wexford Drive, the Georgina Ice Palace features two NHL-sized ice rinks and hosts public skating, figure skating, and hockey programs. It’s also home to the Georgina Skating Club, which offers Learn to Skate and STARSkate programs. 
  • Sutton Arena (Sutton) Found at 48 Hawkins Street, this arena supports local hockey and community skating events.

Outdoor Skating 

If conditions are right, Lake Simcoe itself becomes one of the most unique skating experiences in Ontario. Skating on the frozen lake is unforgettable.
