The fifth annual Georgina Spring Fling marathon, half-marathon, 10K and 5K running race will take place on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Runners will toe the starting line at 7:30 a.m. on Lake Drive East at De La Salle Park. They will run westbound on Lake Drive along the shores of Lake Simcoe and turn around just past North Gwillimbury Park, and return to the finish line at De La Salle Park. Runners taking on the Boston qualifying marathon distance will complete two loops of the course.
Aid stations and cheer stations will be situated every 2.5 - 3km along Lake Drive, and the finish line will turn runners into the park to celebrate their accomplishments. There will be a live band, snacks and an awards ceremony, a live broadcast by KCountry 93.7 radio, and a race announcer welcoming runners across the finish line by name.
To ensure safety and smooth operations for runners, volunteers and the community:
• The westbound lane (lake side) of Lake Drive will be closed from Brule Lakeway to 712 Lake Dr. N.
• The eastbound lane will remain open for escorted, one-way local traffic only
