Beach water testing
Before you head to one Georgina’s many beaches, be advised that York Region has posted advisories at several beaches due to elevated levels of E. coli bacteria. York Region monitors water quality at designated public beaches. For current beach postings and additional information, visit York Region's beach water testing page.
Beach parking
Parking lots are available to both resident parking pass holders and visitors. The three major waterfront parks (De La Salle, Willow Beach and Holmes Point) have parking lots for both those with resident parking passes and visitors. Residents must have a 2025 resident parking pass to park for free in the resident parking lot. All other parking lots will be available to those with passes and those without on a first-come-first-serve basis. For those without a pass, pay-and-display machines are operating. To apply for a parking pass, visit georgina.ca/ParkingPass.
Beach rules
Please follow the rules of the park and beach to ensure everyone has a positive and safe experience.
- No outdoor cooking, BBQ or any cooking devices in the park or at the beach.
- No dogs are permitted on the beach area.
- No fishing in the designated swimming area.
- Parking lots will be closed once the lot is full
- Entering the parking lots is only permitted if space is available. If you choose to leave, your parking pass does not hold your spot, you will only be able to return if space is available.
